What is Visio Divina?
The translation means ‘divine seeing’.
It’s a method of meditative prayer. During Visio Divina, a person sits with an image and invites God to ‘speak’ through it visually.
Through this practice, we allow God to give us new eyes to see, and build a habit of ‘sacramental vision’, through which we learn to look deeper and pray for an eternal perspective on all things.
